Just an hour from Geneva, Samoens and its satellite villages are set in the breathtaking surroundings of the Giffre Valley and it is here that you will find our chalets, located in and around the village of Sixt Fer a Cheval just a 10 minute drive from Samoens and the Grand Massif Express lift.
An ideal location for your ski and snowboard holiday and spring, summer and autumn walking.
Sixt itself stands at about 750m (approx 3000 ft) and some of our chalets are situated just 50m from Beginner and Intermediate pistes, served by button and chair lifts.
The Caisse, where you can buy ski passes for the whole Grand Massif domaine, is the same distance. There are several ski bus stops throughout Sixt and the Ski Bus is a free service taking you to the Grand Massif Express lift of Samoens, which accesses the whole of the Grand Massif Ski and Snowboard Terrain(rising to 2561m).
A not to be missed experience - in good conditions - is the 14kms (9 mile) run "Les Cascades" back from Flaine.

During spring and summer take one of many strolls from Sixt, a 5 hour walk up to the Gers bowl passing "Les Cascades" en route.
Samoens with its weekly market and wide range of shops, restaurants and bars is a 10 minute drive away.
The local Grocery/Delicatessen and Boulangerie is situated in Sixt Fer a Cheval together with three delightful traditional alpine Savoyarde restaurants.
